OSCAR KUHNHAUSEN HOME

This photo was contributed by a family member.
Oscar Kuhnhausen immigrated to the U.S. in 1884 with his father Karl, mother Amalia, and siblings. He filed for a land patent in the Glenwood Valley in 1890. His first home was on the corner of today's Troh Lane and the BZ Glenwood Highway.
He later divided the property, sold that farm and built this home on a portion of land farther north. This is the home where the red barn stands.
Oscar and Antonie Haase Kuhnhausen were married in 1893 and were the parents of Gertie, Sophie Kuhnhausen Wellenbrock, Osmar Kuhnhausen and Wallie Kuhnhausen Pierce.
